Redevelopment of space under urban flyover
#1

With increase in city traffic there is need to create a flyover for smooth movement of vehicle in growing city. This addition of flyover leads to left over space, these spaces are either abandoned or underutilized with parking for vehicles and at times act as a dump yard.
There are various interventions possible for the development of such spaces but considering the context of the place at present, a minimum intervention would however have a major impact. Ideas of illumination and ornamental plantation recently adopted by many countries which makes the spaces look vibrant and interactive.
• These spaces have a great potential to develop as an active public spaces parks or gardens, children's play zone, open library, etc.
• Located in the heart of the city thriving commercial activity zone on the both sides, the space can act as spill over for the active public.
• The retrofication and refurbishment of such spaces will contribute to the image of city.

• Theme based graffiti at certain spaces on social measure is way of creating awareness amongst the people.
• Dense ornamental plantations will hereby contribute to the ecology and environment and acts as a buffer to reduce air pollution as well contribute to the aesthetics of the street in the day time.
• Illumination at night will completely transform the appearance of the street at night

The space could be designed to give sense of ownership of it to the community.

it could be designed to reunify areas of the city that have been severed by urban renewal. Regenerating the space under the overpass & beautifying the area allows it to reconnect with the urban fabric.
Undeveloped spaces below flyover potential to be transformed into major corridors, gathering areas or recreational spaces that integrate the elevated highway and their surrounding environment, Generally, they shape the ground level where they are constructed.

Dear Sir

I am an Electrical Design Engineer.

Provide Parking Space with EV Charging Station Under Urban Flyover considering future requirement.

According to me Developing EV Charging Station at Petrol Pump is not as useful as we think. No one now a days spend 10 or 20 Min at Patrol Pump for EV Charging.

Thanks & Regards
Amit Patel
